Templates

Starting points for SMS, call intros, and postcards that convert.

Every DeedPulse campaign starts from a template. We ship starter templates for each channel and each of the common verticals — you can clone and edit.

Template variables

Use these placeholders anywhere in a template. DeedPulse fills them in per event.

PlaceholderExample
{{owner_first_name}}"Dana"
{{street}}"Oak Ridge Drive"
{{municipality}}"Cary"
{{recording_date_short}}"last week"
{{company_name}}your company name, from Settings
{{booking_link}}your scheduling URL

Unavailable values fall back to the template's configured default — never to an obvious gap like {owner_first_name}.

SMS starter

Hey {{owner_first_name}} — congrats on the new place on {{street}}. I'm with {{company_name}} and we take care of a few of your neighbors. Want me to swing by with a free walk-through quote this week? — Reply STOP to opt out.

Keep SMS under 160 chars when possible. Always include a visible opt-out.

Call-intro starter

Hi, is this {{owner_first_name}}? Great — this is [your name] at {{company_name}}. I saw you just closed on the place on {{street}} and I wanted to catch you before the usual first-week chaos. Quick question: how are you set up for monitoring?

Lead with context, then ask a low-pressure discovery question.

Postcard starter

Front: A clean visual — the neighborhood or a crisp product shot.

Back: A one-paragraph message anchored on "new home, new security" and a single CTA (phone or scheduling URL). Postcards forgive longer copy — use 4–6 sentences.

Testing templates

Every template change runs in dry-run mode before it affects live events. Run side-by-side previews against the same 14-day pool when A/B testing.
